What are 3D Barcodes?
3D barcodes are an extension of
2D barcodes. They differ from 2D barcodes in the sense that
they utilise colour. They are currently being developed by ColorZip Media Inc.
as something called ColorCode.
ColorCode is currently a closed and managed resource, designed for commercial
use only. 3DthreadNation is based on the theory that information can be coded into
a 3D barcode, and decoded by a mobile phone and/or computer application when
required (as with 2D barcodes).
